The Complete Messiah

Quite likely the most beloved choral work of all time, this oratorio, Messiah, has been performed annually since its premiere in Dublin in 1742. With Colorado Bach Ensemble’s presentation of the complete three parts, audiences of all faiths will find this magnificent work inspiring and exhilarating.

Since the 1742 premier as a benefit for the Debtor’s Prison in Dublin, Handel’s Messiah has become the most beloved oratorio in history.  Handel stated: “I should be sorry if I only entertained them, I wished to make them better.” Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms all admitted influence from the master!
