Four Masterworks:
Exploring Bach’s Range

BWV 211  Schweigt stille, plandert nich (Be quiet, do not chatter)
“Coffee Cantata”
BWV 202 Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten (Away, sorrowful shadows)
“Wedding Cantata”
BWV 1048 Brandenburg Concerto #3 in G Major
Bach Violin Concerto featuring our inaugural Competition for Youth winner

Join us for an evening of masterworks including Bach’s charming “Coffee Cantata,” a miniature comic opera, which demonstrates the composer’s tongue-in-cheek wit. The charming “Wedding Cantata” was likely composed for Bach’s own wedding in 1721. The Brandenburg Concerto #3 is arguably Bach’s most popular of the six Brandenburg Concertos, composed during his time in Köthen.

Join us for a complimentary patron reception after each concert.
