Heejung Kim completed her undergraduate studies at Pusan National University and earned a master’s degree from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
A founding member of the Colorado Bach Ensemble (CBE), Heejung has an extensive orchestral background. She has performed with numerous ensembles across the country and served as Assistant Concertmaster with the Cheyenne Symphony, Fort Collins Symphony, and Des Moines Metro Opera. She was also a member of the Des Moines Symphony and the Music in Lucca Festival in Italy.
Since 2018, Heejung has been a member of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. She also performs as a substitute with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and the Colorado Music Festival. In addition to her performance career, she taught at the Des Moines Symphony Academy and is currently an active private teacher, working with students of all ages and levels.
