Acclaimed for his warm, captive and honest stage presence, Michael Hoffman, a native of Minnesota, is an avid performer and interpreter of art song, oratorio, opera, and choral music. He holds a successful voice studio in Boulder, CO and is the Director of Music at Grace Lutheran Church in Boulder. Currently an Opera On the Go Artist with Central City Opera, Michael frequently performs with orchestras and ensembles throughout the state and across the country. In the Fall of 2022, he performed Schubert’s Winterreise with acclaimed pianist Mutsumi Moteki. In 2019, the two of them also performed Schubert’s Die Schöne Müllerin. Stemming from his love of teaching, in the summer of 2018 he and his wife Nadya Hill founded the Mountain Area Chamber Music Festival, a week-long festival for middle and high school vocalists and string players. In 2017, he received his Master of Music degree from CU-Boulder in Vocal Performance, and in that same year had his Carnegie Hall debut performing Schubert’s Auf dem Strom. He currently resides in Denver with his wife Nadya and new Baby Roselyn (Rosie) and their dog Sophie. He is an avid woodworker and outdoorsman, and loves spending time with his growing family in the woods or on the water.
