Cora Crisman is a flutist who enjoys a vibrant and varied career as a performer and teaching artist. She holds the position of Principal Flute with Inside the Orchestra, and performs regularly with the Colorado Symphony, Colorado Ballet, Colorado Music Festival, Boulder Philharmonic, Boulder Chamber Orchestra, Colorado Springs Philharmonic and Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra. Cora is honored to be a founding member of the Five Seasons Quintet, the resident woodwind quintet of the Melodic Light chamber music series. A passionate music educator, Cora is the Professor of Flute at Regis University, where she also leads the Chamber Winds program. She has run youth music programs for Colorado Symphony Orchestra’s Very Young Composers, Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Front Range Youth Symphony Orchestra, in addition to coaching wind players throughout the state and maintaining a full private flute studio in Denver. Cora holds degrees with honors from Ithaca College and the Royal Academy of Music.
